As part of the Salida Art Walk, grab a cocktail and join me for a relaxed day of painting colorful watercolor landscapes!
In this two-hour class, I’ll share my wet-on-wet watercolor technique as we explore color, shape, and the unexpected beauty of letting watercolor do its thing. No pressure and no need to take ourselves too seriously—this class is all about enjoying the process, trying something new, and creating colorful art.
Open to adults and children ages 9 and up. All skill levels are welcome.
Registration includes all art supplies and one complimentary beverage—cocktail, mocktail, or soda.
Join local artist Patti Vincent while she uses oil paint to paint one of her favorite subjects, a Colorado cow. She has a few tricks that she will share to make you fall in love with her cow paintings or your cow paintings. The demonstration will start at 1pm with a brief discussion about supplies and suggestions on where to find the best cows for painting. Patti will stop when the cow comes home but feel free to leave before 4pm so you can get in one last bid on the mini masterpiece of your dreams.
Join local artist Patti Vincent for a discussion on gouache, including a painting demonstration. What is gouache? How do you pronounce gouache? And all of the other gouache related questions fielded on a daily basis at Patti Vincent Studio & Gallery in historic downtown Salida, Colorado. Patti will paint a painting of her favorite subject, Max, the IG famous tuxedo cat.
Local authors will be at a booth in front of Benjamin’s Bookshop. Stop by and learn more about the writing community in Chaffee County, buy books, and become inspired to write your own.
We will be featuring new art by young emerging jeweler Ethan Hansen. Ethan works pirmarily in Titanium and stainless steel, and often features stones that he has cut.
