A Season of Words – Fall Rising

Sunday September 22nd Showtime 6:30 – 8:30 Salida SteamPlant Event Center Annex

The fourth of four seasonal poetry gatherings offered by Salida Poetry Stake, Fall Rising will feature the American Book Award and Colorado Book Award winning Aaron Abeyta from the San Louis Valley. Local Salida poets Grover Ellmore and Brenda Sebern will open the evening.

Open mic follows with voices familiar and new. ONE page, ONE poem per poet.

Open mic sign-up starts @ 6:15

David Tipton will perform beautiful music on the Chapman Stick.

Sign up to help create the 60′ long Salida Community Mosaic wall at the SHARDS & CHARDONNAY 🥂 night, a Sip & Paint style workshop presented by the Salida Creative District and Salida Arts & Culture. Bring your friends and learn bow to mosaic led by artist Anne Walker. Join us for mosaic making, snacks, cash bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages available.
