Still Alice – Presented by Salida Theater Project

Alice Howland has a thriving career, a loving family—and a life that suddenly begins to shift.

As memory fades and the ground moves beneath her, Alice and her inner voice, Herself, hold on to what matters most. While those around her struggle to understand, she meets each change with resilience, flashes of humor, and resolute strength.

Still Alice is a powerful story about identity, change, and connection in the face of Alzheimer’s. It asks: how long are we still ourselves—and who decides? In the end, as the past and future grow dim, Alice and Herself turn fully to the present—because in the end, it’s very simple: this moment—right here—is enough.

Directed by Jan Justis and featuring a cast of actors from Salida and BV.

After the Sunday matinee performance, join us for a community conversation about Alzheimer’s, caregiving, and the themes explored in the play. Sunday attendees are welcome to stay for the panel, and those who attended on Friday or Saturday are invited to return and take part in the discussion.
