Salida ArtWalk presents Parade for the Arts

Join us at the 33rd annual Salida ArtWalk for the Parade for the Arts! The theme is Keep Salida Artsy! Pull up a comfy chair and come out to F St by 5:30pm on Saturday October 10 and view the handmade and creative costumes made by Salida locals! Participants meet at Alpine Park by 5:15pm and the parade departs at 5:30pm sharp!

Gather your friends and family, create your best artful costume, and join the Salida ArtWalk Parade on Saturday, October 10 at 5:30pm presented by the City of Salida Arts & Culture Department. The theme is Keep Salida Artsy so show us your giant paint brushes and palettes, walking sculptures, or abstract art! The Parade will travel down F St, from Alpine Park to Riverside Park, followed by the ArtWalk Party at the bandshell with performances by local acts, dancing, and live music by MoChamPipple. Parade Participants register in advance at the link above. You will receive a confirmation email with a waiver and more information. Parade polices: The ArtWalk Parade is a foot parade. Walking, strollers, bikes, wagons, skateboards, etc only. No motorized vehicles allowed. The ArtWalk Parade is a family friendly event. Parade entries must be suitable for all ages. Entries must sign and return a waiver. Details: Meet at Alpine Park at 5pm to check in, receive final instructions, and get in line. In addition: Community members can attend free giant Puppet Making workshops in preparation for the Parade on Tuesdays Sept 8, 15, 29 and October 6 from 6-7:30pm at the Scout Hut.
