Box of Bubbles provides the Salida community with a venue for events, meeting space, project space, gallery space, workshop space and a creative playground. For Art Walk, Box of Bubbles will be hosting local artist Jamie Winsand, and the unveiling of Seth Brandon’s “Iconic Salida” mural.
Ken Brandon, the father of four, was born and raised in the small southeastern Colorado town of Las Animas. He has a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, and has been a successful creative entrepreneur and graphic designer for over fifty years. He was the department chair of the fine arts program at Otero Junior College in La Junta and he also ran a vocational graphics arts program for the Colorado Department of Corrections in Buena Vista. Ken co-founded the Support Our Schools Salida non-profit, and is currently the President of the Salida Council for the Arts and owner of Box of Bubbles, a creative resource center.
