Contemporary mosaic and mixed media creations using reclaimed, found and items from nature. I create my own tessarae from stones and items I personally have found and crafted using everything from saws and wet saws to chisels, hammers and paints. My inspiration comes my connection to the earth and what we see, feel, use, create and discard. This includes items such as wood, metal, wire, mesh, fabric, concrete, vintage tiles, glass, and numerous items from scrap building construction items. I want my art to be felt, and so the tactile nature of my materials is extremely important. The connection with the materials and their history is so important to the energy of the final creation.
