Salida Creative District is a state designation administered by Salida's Arts and Culture Department.
Congratulations to Anne Walker mosaic artist for her project Salida Community Mosaic! Anne was awarded funds by the Public Arts Commission and several community sponsorships to bring a 60' long mosaic mural to Chisholm Park. Depicting small and large trout swimming in the river, this large scale community mosaic project made of ceramic tile will take many participants to help complete it! Many of the small trout that community made last year during ArtWalk will be incorporated into the final piece. Watch Salida Creative District and Salida Community Mosaic to sign up for free workshops in August & September. Learn from Anne as you help create the 60' long mosaic for Chisholm Park! A ribbon cutting on Friday of Salida Art Walk Oct 11 is in the works! 🐟🌊🎨 Thank you Anne, sponsors, and community participants!
