The Maverick Potter is a hotbed of handmade clay art! We have pottery of all kinds: functional and decorative, practical and whimsical. In addition to work made by gallery owner Mark Rittmann, we represent 19 local and regional artists in clay, metal, fiber arts, and mixed media (monsters…The Bungled Jungle).
A literal dream come true, Mark and Suzanne always wanted to have a pottery shop in a mountain town. Eighteen years later, our wheels are still spinning, the kilns are always firing, and it has been our delight to offer a wide variety of work from dedicated clay artists, as well as make pottery accessible through classes and studio time.
